Daddy, We're Proud of You

Today, in honor of Daddy's presentation of his Master's Project, Finnegan and I did a little project. We took our first try at finger painting. We got the paper all set up on the counter and stripped Finn down to his diaper and let him go at it. He wasn't really sure what to do at first. He didn't really understand that the purpose was to be messy... But then he got the hang of it!! Here are some photos.

Now, he's getting the hang of it!
Oops! Had an itch on his cheek!! Good thing this stuff is nontoxic!!
All done with our project and two other pictures. He had a good time!! Time for a bath!!
Here's the finished product!
Here's mommy's sign that she put up. Daddy's gonna kill me, but I thought it was a great idea!

And, although all three of these photos look identical, I couldn't decide which one I liked best, so I thought I'd show you all of them!!

That is such a neat idea! I have to tell you when I saw the title of your post my heart did a little flip flop and I ran to the calendar so afraid that Father's Day was THIS weekend and I had forgotten. WHEW. Is Finnegan potty training? I think I saw little rubber pants on him!

So sorry for the scare, Jenney!! No, still a couple more weeks until Father's Day :) I am thinking about potty training soon. Finnegan told me the other day he had to go, and had a dry diaper for 3 hours, until that point, and he made it to the potty successfully. I know we'll have a lot of this until he's really ready but I got excited so I put him in cotton pants yesterday just to see what would happen. I was surprised to see his reaction when he did go in them. He was very uncomfortable, but I still think he's not ready. We'll probably wait until we come home from our trip to MI to try again. But we're making more and more progress.
